Self-Assessment is a process in which you examine yourself in attempt to discover and learn more about yourself. Your likes, dislikes, behaviors, attitudes and habits can be found during this process. You can use the discoveries to your advantage by accepting or changing strengths and weaknesses. I plan on using this course to enhance my personal skills to become a better student and find success in earning my Bachelor of Engineering degree at City College in Electrical Engineering.
This is my self-evaluation paper. I am going to explain how my composing has changed since the primary day of lesson to the final exposition, additionally a few of my qualities and shortcomings as an essayist. Before I selected into ENGL 21007 course, I knew how to type in a paper, but my qualities were restricted. I think of people writing papers in school and journals. I haven’t written much unless it’s required but I plan to write more to get my thoughts out and to improve my writing so to that it translates to my schoolwork. Writing to me is a therapeutic activity and skill developed over time with repetition. When your writing is not required via submission your thoughts can freely float around and there isn’t a clock or deadline to worry about.
Over the semester, my organization skills have increased, and my critical thinking skills have improved for reading. Now, I notice the different styles and themes in stories that make them effective. As a writer, I still have a lot to improve like being more descriptive and elaborating on my ideas, but this class helped my writing advance greatly. I plan to keep practicing writing as well as reading in order to keep developing and enhancing my writing skills. My arrange for self-assessment is that I will proceed to perused and hone my composing exposition aptitudes. Ideally, one day I will accomplish my individual objectives as an author and have way better communication abilities. Also, this semester has enabled me to think critically in terms of reading and define what makes writing unique and useful. The field study greatly influenced the extent of achieving the course learning objectives, but I still have a few to accomplish. All in all, I’ve learned a lot and hope to learn more.
